Human Resources Consultant (Toronto Location)

This position has a dual role whereby the HR Consultant will be responsible for providing pro-active human resources support to both new and existing clients as well as assisting with the growth and development of the company’s HRessentials service. It will require an individual with a strong background as an HR professional who has experience dealing with a variety of workplace issues across diverse industries as well as experience in business development.
The incumbent will be accountable for the following:
- Provide professional and prompt human resources support both virtually and on-site for existing and new HR Essentials clients
- Attend client meetings with President and/or CEO or independently and prepare sales proposals
- Continuously work as part of a high-performing team with a view to enhance our team’s policies, templates, tools and service offering to our clients
- Take a lead role in consulting on various HR projects for clients of all sizes and industries and provide project support to the team members, when required
- Assist with the design and facilitation of HR training programs (either on-site or using virtual tools) on a variety of HR related topic
- Ensure that you are kept up-to-date on the current trends and best practices in human resources including changes in legislation and employment practices
- Actively participate in regular team meetings and strategy sessions and ensure follow-up
- Participate in other special projects and/or assignments as may be required.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- University Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field is required
- Post-secondary diploma in Human business or related field is an asset
- CHRL designation preferred
- 8-10 years HR generalist experience required
- Experience in customer service is required
- Experience dealing with Employee Relations issues is required
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
- Highly proficient computer skills in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work flexible hours from both home office and/or a remote office locations
- High sense of urgency and able to effectively manage multiple priorities
- Values-based individual who operates with a high level of integrity and honesty
- A positive thinker who is driven to ‘make a contribution’ to the business
- Proven business development capabilities with a strong customer focus
- Team-player with a proven track record in collaborating with business groups

Business Development Manager
Reports To:
Founder and CEO, MaxPeoplePerform
Location:
Working from a home office and/or head office
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the CEO, work with the sales team to manage existing and future products/services offerings.
Accountabilities:
- Generate sales revenue as per target
- Generate gross profit as per target
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Play an active role in development of new products/services
Position responsibilities:
- Develops and implements a sales plan that delivers targeted revenue with focus on long term client retention.
- Collaborates with ‘Client Service’ in development of gross profit focused proposals.
- Continuously works the targeted prospect list thru various methods to move the sales process forward at each contact.
- Continuously populates lead management database to track sales progress.
- Actively participates in regular team meetings and strategy sessions.
- Collaborates with the marketing team in the development of marketing programs resulting in new leads.
- Assists the CEO in research and development of new products and services.
- Provides the team with market intelligence gathered thru customer contact.
- Maintains and promotes the corporate image through attendance at industry events and tradeshows.
Qualifications:
Education
- University Degree is required.
- Post-secondary diploma in Business, Human Resources or Marketing related field is an asset.
Experience:
- 5-7 years consultative, business-to-business professional services selling experience demonstrating increased results and responsibility.
