To help ensure a vibrant future for fine arts education in the Minnetonka School District, the Minnetonka Alumni Association has regularly funded Teacher Grants that help to make extraordinary opportunities for Minnetonka teachers and students in the visual, performing and literary arts a reality - opportunities beyond and separate from the schools’ normal operating budget. More than $900,000 has been raised since 2005.

Examples of previously funded Teacher Grants in the Fine Arts include:

• Remo West African Drums
• Draw the Future with 3D Pen
• Art Display Cases
• Minnetonka Elementary Musical Theatre Program (Wizard of Oz)

To help Minnetonka students stay current with the ground-breaking science and cutting-edge technology that is being developed every day, the Minnetonka Alumni Association has started a fund for Science and Technology Teacher Grants.

Giving to this newly established fund will help support teacher-led initiatives similar to:

• Kids Build, then Code
• Using Apple Pencils to improve 3D Modeling and Design
• Fractures Puzzles Models for Human Anatomy
• Plant Aquaponics Grow Tower

To ensure that Minnetonka students can grow and reach their greatest potential, the Minnetonka Alumni Association has established a fund for Student Wellbeing Teacher Grants.  

These initiatives are seen at all grade levels, and include Teacher Grants similar to:

• Keep Calm and Learn On
• Enhancing Well-Being and Reducing Anxiety through VR Experiences
• Design for Learning

Your gift to the Minnetonka Alumni Association General Fund supports fundamental aspects of day-to-day operation of our organization and Minnetonka Public Schools. This unrestricted fund allows your donation to go wherever it is needed most. These gifts can have a tremendous impact on alumni, current students, teachers and the district as a whole.

Gifts to the General Fund support the following efforts:

• Additional funding to the Teacher Grant program
• Signature events like the Alumni Awards Brunch and the All-School All-Class Reunion
• Critical communication efforts to alumni that keep them informed and keep your information accurate and up to date.
