$58,367 in Teacher Grants Awarded

The foundation proudly funded $58,367 in Teacher Grants for the 2022-23 school year with partnerships from the Minnetonka Alumni Association and the Draayer Youth Citizenship Fund.  These 41 unique grants provide innovative educational experiences to students in all 6 Elementary Schools, both East and West Middle Schools, Minnetonka High School, the VANTAGE Programand Tonka Online.

The Minnetonka Public Schools Foundation is pleased to announce the promotion of Jill Howe as the organization’s new Executive Director.  She will play an integral role in helping to lead the Foundation in increasing community impact, consistent with its mission and vision. 

Jill earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Iowa, where she first cultivated her passion for working with others to produce successful community events. She subsequently worked in commercial lending and value-based investing, and has experienced the best-in-class education that our district offers as the parent of four Minnetonka Public Schools students.  As Foundation Administrator, she helped guide the organization through the challenges of 2020.

Jill serves as a member of the Minnetonka Public Schools Citizens Finance Advisory Committee, and volunteers with the Women’s Ministry at Wooddale Church.  She has continued to use her event planning skills, helping organize events such as the Tonka Turkey Trot, the Minnetonka High School Cheerleading Team’s “Tonka Freeze” event, and the Minnetonka Choir’s “Jingle and Mingle” event.  Jill is excited about this new opportunity and strongly believes that good communication, collaboration, efficiency, and engagement are the keys to advancing innovation within our District and providing students with opportunities to grow their minds and maximize their potential. 

When she is not working, you can find her traveling to visit her 3 college students, spending time with family and friends, or outside enjoying the lakes and trails.
