Casual Fishing Fun For Your Group or Family

Looking to have fun on a boat when your group is larger then 6?

Bachelor / Bachelorette party want to casually fish and party?

Do just a few of you want to drop some lines in the water while your family/friends are comfortably entertained with catered food, good music, a clean bathroom and protected from the elements?

Tired of getting seasick offshore?

The only boat in Charleston capable of doing all of these things is Kismet. Kismet is designed as a Chesapeak Deadrise, similar to a downeast fishing boat. A stable 36ft flat bottom deadrise, full keel with 12ft beam and a top speed of 25mph with her 430hp cummins turbo diesel. Equipped with downscan and sidescan sonar, we can see the bottom and fish in detail. Kismet can comfortably cruise the harbor in all sea states while keeping you comfortable and dry.

We carry 6 poles (light tackle) with us and can anchor and bottom fish the calm waters of the harbor during part or all of your time on the harbor. We do require at minimum a 3 hour charter as fishing for 10 minutes during a 2 hour charter usually has no results. The captain and mate set up the poles, and when we get a bite guests can reel it in. We have to anchor to fish as theres no trolling for fish in the harbor.

Although we are experienced, we don't call ourselves a fishing charter yacht and our captains dont call themselves fishing guides. However if you want to casually fish with your family/friends and maybe catch a shark, redfish or some other random thing in the harbor you are welcome to try with our help. We do not guarantee you will catch a fish, but we know you and your friends/family will have a great time either way.

We cover the fishing license, bait and poles. We don't keep the fish, we let them go so we can catch them again another day.

Please let us know when booking your charter that you may want to casually fish and we will make sure everything is on board. The rates are similar to standard charters but with a $25 premium per hour for gear and license expenses. With over 10 guests on board, fishing can get kinda crowded. The perfect size is under 10 passengers, that way if we catch 10 fish, everyone gets a turn.

Fishing is best done during the morning, departing around 9am. We leave our morning schedule open especially for custom charters. You will have to call directly to setup a fishing charter.

Rates - 3 hour minimum to fish

6 Passengers or less: $300 per hour.

7-9 Passengers: $425 per hour.

10-15 Passengers: $625 per hour. (not recommended for fishing)

Charter fee does not include 16-18% gratuity, food (don't forget the crew), or dockage fees at other marinas if required.
