School Board Election Information
Upcoming Election: November 4, 2025
The next Minnetonka School Board election will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
Three seats will be open for election. The newly elected members will begin their four-year terms in January 2026.

*School Board elections are held every two years on the first Tuesday in November of odd-numbered years.

2025 School Board Election – Candidate Filing Information
Individuals interested in running for the Minnetonka School Board in the upcoming election must meet the following eligibility requirements:
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
A candidate must:
- Be an eligible voter in Minnesota
- Be at least 21 years of age upon assuming office
- Have resided in the Minnetonka School District for at least 30 days before the election
- Not have an affidavit of candidacy on file for any other office at the same general election
- Not have been convicted of an offense requiring registration as a predatory offender under Minnesota Statutes § 243.166
FILING PERIOD
- Opens: Tuesday, July 29, 2025
- Closes: Tuesday, August 12, 2025
- Candidate Withdrawal Deadline: Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.

Candidates are invited to attend the League of Women Voters Candidate Forum.
