Meal payments are made through Skyward Family Access using your My SSO username and password. Your username and password will be emailed to you from Family Helpdesk. Once you receive your username and password, view our Online Payment page for directions. Online meal payments are real-time payments. Funds are available for your student as soon as you receive your confirmation email. We are a cashless department but will accept checks made payable to Minnetonka Nutrition Services. Please put your student's name in the memo line of the check.

We rely on parent/guardian's to discuss their a la carte expectations with their student and maintain a positive meal account balance.

"Incomplete" is a term we use when a student does not take what the USDA considers a "complete meal". A student must take a minimum of 1/2 cup of a fruit or vegetable and a minimum of 3 meal items to be considered a Free meal or "complete meal". When a student does not select a complete meal, we are not reimbursed by the federal and state agencies. If we are not reimbursed for the meal, we must pass those charges on to the cost of the student's meal. The incomplete meal cost reflects the actual cost of the meal. 

The Nutrition Services Department procedures for monitoring student meal accounts comply with USDA guidance on collection of debt for meal accounts as well as avoiding debt in meal accounts. The meal account works similar to a bank debit account. Money is deposited into the account and then as purchases are made by the student, the money is drawn off of the account. The account is not to be used as a credit card account, where purchases accumulate for payment at a later date.

Negative Balance Policy

Have a graduating Senior with a positive meal balance? Please Click the option you choose below and complete the form. All options need to be requested by Friday,  June 14th. All requests will be completed between June 17th and before July 1st.

Option 1 : Transfer the remaining balance to a sibling's meal account. Please indicate your student's first and last name in your email response.

Option 2 : Check refund. Please indicate your first and last name and your current mailing address. (Your student's balance must be greater than $10.00)

Option 3 : Cash refund. Pick up cash at the District Service Center if the balance is less than $10.00. You will be notified via email when the money is available for pick up.

Option 4 : Donate the balance to the Nutrition Services Assistance Trust Fund to aid other Minnetonka families in need. We will email you a tax deductible donation receipt for donations $5.00 and greater.

Please respond by Friday, June 16th. All transfer, refunds and donations will be completed between June17th and July 1st. If we receive no response, the funds will be added to the Nutrition Services Assistance Trust Fund.
