John E. McGarry, M.D.

John E. McGarry, M.D. is a board-certified and fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon, by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He specializes in sports medicine and general orthopedics and has extensive experience with fracture care.

Education & Background

Dr. McGarry specializes in arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder, sports medicine orthopedics as well as knee joint replacements and general orthopedics. He believes in utilizing minimally invasive procedures where applicable and uses these techniques in such surgeries as arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs and ACL reconstructions. Dr. McGarry is also highly trained and experienced in fracture care and is currently accepting new patients.

Dr. McGarry is a single father of 3 children, 2 daughters and a son. He loves the Dallas Cowboys, movies, reading, traveling and exercising.

Dr. McGarry performs knee replacement surgery at Methodist Hospital for Surgery in Addison. Dr. McGarry is currently seeing new patients.
