PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test
Junior year
Taking the PSAT during your junior year could lead to thousands in scholarships for college! Juniors take the PSAT on October 16, 2024 for the National Merit Scholarship Competition . A high score on the PSAT enhances your college application and could make you a notable recruit for colleges and universities.

State ACT Test Information
Minnetonka High School will be offering the State ACT exam to 11th grade students on April 8, 2025 during the regular school day.
Registration information will be disseminated to juniors and their families during the winter months. The registration deadline is January 10, 2025.

(available for students who qualify for free and reduced lunch).

Pre-ACT for Sophomores
Exclusively for sophomores, the Pre-ACT will take place on Tuesday, April 8, 2024 simultaneously with the juniors’ ACT.
No registration is required, and student attendance will be marked in traditional fashion. Sophomores who attend school on April 8, 2024 will be required to take the exam. This exam will help provide for students a raw test score, which will show them areas of potential strengths and weaknesses toward the ACT. This exam is free. There will be no makeup day for this exam.

WIDA FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS (ELL)
WIDA is a federally mandated test to monitor students' progress in acquiring academic English language proficiency.

PISA
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) publishes the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), an assessment that aims to evaluate education systems worldwide by testing the skills and knowledge of 15-year-old students in reading, mathematics, and science. Students are randomly selected by OECD for the PISA test administration.
