Auditions for 2025-26

- New Dancer Parent Meetingimmediately following the clinic at 6:30 in the MHS Forum on April 16.
- All dancers entering 7-12 in the fall are eligible.

about MDT
The Minnetonka High School Skipperettes Competition Dance Team (MDT)is a competitive winter sport and is registered with the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL). The Skipperettes perform and compete in high kick and jazz at Lake Conference meets, weekend invitational tournaments and our sections meet. If the team qualifies, we will dance at the MSHSL Dance Team Tournament in February.

auditions
Competition Dance tryouts are held in the spring for team placement the following school year. For updates please follow us on Instagram @minnetonkaskipperettes .
Practices and Competitions
Competition Dance begins in October and wraps up in February. During the school year, all teams practice Monday-Friday, 3:30-6 p.m. and Saturday mornings at MHS.
cost/FEES
One time annual Activities Fee ($75) + team participation fee + uniform fee.
Eligibility requirements
Dancers must be enrolled in grades 7–12 in the fall and meet the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) and Minnetonka School District eligibility requirements.
Team size
25-50 dancers.
lettering
Lettering requirements are determined by the head coach.
Student leadership
Captains are elected by the team and approved by the coaches. The number of captains selected each year will vary from three to five, depending on size of team and leadership needs for the season.
