Ellery Funk is the Aquatics Rec Program Coordinator. She manages Minnetonka’s swim lessons, rec swim team, and non-competitive swim programs. She is passionate about making swimming accessible to all; both as a sport and form of exercise, but primarily as a life-saving skill. Growing up, Ellery worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor and inherited her love for aquatics from her boss at her first job when she was 16!

Ellery has a B.S. in Food Science from the University of Minnesota. Before starting her role with Minnetonka, she worked full time with the University of Minnesota Aquatics Department where she worked managing the university’s lifeguard program and aquatics events. This professional experience encouraged Ellery to leave the field of Food Science behind and pursue her passion for recreation and aquatics.

Outside of work, Ellery enjoys rock climbing, running, cycling, and cooking. She lives in Minneapolis and loves exploring all the parks and restaurants that the twin cities have to offer.
