This is the perfect route for beginner riders and families with young children. The ride is 30% unpaved trails with a few hills along the way. Visit Minnetonka Middle School East twice for an easily accessible rest stop, and explore the Minnetonka Community from a unique cycling perspective!
The 24-Mile Ride is for riders seeking a leisurely ride experience around Lake Minnetonka. Ideal for families with older children. With only 2 miles of unpaved trails, explore Deephaven, Minnetonka, Wayzata, Orono, Tonka Bay, Excelsior, Greenwood & a new scenic rest stop in Minnetonka Beach. This inclusive route will bring together riders of many abilities and experiences.
The 40-Mile Ride is more challenging in distance and varied terrain. It has 3 miles of paved trail in Mound and 1.5 miles of unpaved trail through Excelsior. Be sure to train for more challenging climbs. Two rest stops in Orono and Mound are fully staffed with music, snacks, and bike mechanics to assist participants on their ride. The final stretch will allow for riders of multiple routes to build community, and cross the finish line together!
